Works great, very loud.
I put these alarms in my guns with my charged lipos and left them on the shelf after playing. You would think that it would take a very long time for this little thing to kill a 2200 mAh 3s lipo. This thing drained cells 1 and 2 below their minimum voltage but left cell 1 at full charge after about 2 days. I though it was just a bad battery. I kept using these things and it killed 2 other batteries (different sizes and brands) in exactly the same way. It drains cells 1 and 2 completely and doesn't touch cell 3. This is a critical design flaw and it makes sense that it is not touching cell 3 because its also designed for 2s (its likely powering its lights from cells 1 and 2 to make it 2s compatible). All 3 times that it killed my battery the alarm went off and when I checked the voltage cell 3 was full and the other 2 cells were completely dead. Not only does this not keep my batteries from dying, it actually kills them.
Hi Morgan, Sorry to hear about your experience. These are NOT intended to be left plugged in your battery when not in use. There is a video on the listing explaining the use of these.
I use this tons and it has never failed on me.
this is great but difficult to mount
I do like the compact size although I did still need shell cutting. When I used in my 2s Stryfe the alarm showed 2 green leds when battery was in the optimal range for play usage. When the battery charge dropped into the “need charge” range the other LEDs activated on the other side in Red. When that happened I checked the cell levels and 1 was at 3.3 on 1 cell and 3.4 on the other. NO continued alarm activated to notify me. ONLY THE RED LED LIGHT. Good product overall if you know what you’re working with. A little more info would be useful to ease any doubts about correct operations.
