Look, if you're grabbing a bolt action blaster, you know what you're about. The quality of the blaster is 5 stars, from the plastic to the metal. Some minor gripes can get annoying, however. The material on the grip, butt stock, and the cheek rest feel fantastic, but slip a little after playing for a while. Easy fix with some glue or tape if you don't want anything to permanent. Honestly, something you could ignore overall. The biggest gripe (and it's not that big of an issue) is this magwell. The included mag is really wide, so removing it is awkward. Using another talon is fine, but removal is still strange because of the original aesthetic choice; it puts the mag release too far from the mag. I have large hands and mag changes felt like I was awkwardly fumbling around for two minutes, whether I used the aesthetic mags or straight talons or even curved talons. But honestly, this isn't a super war practical blaster. If you lean into the sniper style, at 300fps, you should be far enough away that an awkward mag change is part of the reason you get a blaster like this.
The team at outofdarts did fantastic as always! Timely arrival, even during the holiday rush.
i got this and looked at the spring on the gun inside was broken can i get a new 300fps spring out of darts.
As someone coming back to the hobby, I was looking for a bolt action sniper rifle and this one does not disappoint! It is super easy to build with the build instructions provided in the box and switching out springs was super simple. I love how hard and fast, yet how quietly it shoots!
Just a little tip, if you do find that for some reason the blaster makes a loud clacking noise when it fires, it's actually due to using worn out darts rather than the gun itself.
Truly phenomenal on every level. Wish the bolt handle had more of an outward angle when locked but that's just personal preference and I get why flush is preferred (plus there's no need to actually lock it to fire). I'll just print a ball **** for the handle and boom
Right off the bat this blaster it's sturdy, it's sleek, it's huge and it's awesome!
The biggest pro: it's SOO silent!! It's crazy how it just "poofs" and the dart flys out.
Other pros: looks great, solid build, easy to prime (yes 300fps spring can be pulled w 2-3 fingers it's that easy)
Huge con: the mag is trash, it wobbles too much when inserted and it doesn't lock! You have to jam it or pull the release trigger. It also pinches your darts badly and making seams in the foam! I bought a 10 round worker mag and it works beautifully. Can toss that tiny mag away!
Other cons: it is heavier than others so just keep that in mind, I don't mind it I'm not a tiny person and I workout so it's easy. Not a fan of the shroud, easy to ally but I like the barrel exposed. Personal preference,
And again the prime, it could be harder for some using the 300fps spring, for me it's really not that bad but I lift weights.
Overall I'm loving this thing. Grabbed the new ZWQ 30 bearing Bcar, cheap Amazon scope (CVlife). It's a blast!
