I wrote 2 other reviews with 4 stars and then a few weeks after those i had another issue. This was my fault i accidentally dry fired too much. So i emailed OOD to return it and 5 minutes later they gave me a shipping label and sent me a new blaster. If anyone ever has a problem with there blaster just email and you will probably get a new one. Amazing!
I already wrote a review saying this was great. It still is, but i found another problem. It seems to be known across the community that the piece in the trigger system that enables slam fire interferes with the catch. What happens is the slam fire piece is in the way of the trigger, so it makes it so the trigger cannot move the catch down enough to fire the blaster. There are lots of videos online that walk you through how to fix this. You simply unscrew the trigger safety, use something like a nail and a hammer to tap out the two pins above the grip and then pull out the trigger system. The system is only held together by the shell so you should be able to pull it apart easily. The slam fire lever is towards the front so remove that. This will leave a small gap between the trigger and the safety so take something like a dart folded in half or a dart head and place it between them. Whatever you use cant be too soft or it will eventually wear out. I used a small piece of a resistance band for workouts. Ive shot 100 more darts out of the gun and it still works perfectly. In doing this you will remove slam fire from you blaster.
I got this today. Its amazing and is currently my highest FPS blaster. It hits hard and accurately, with, i must say, a pretty hefty prime. I have 3 issues. 1, when you prime the blaster you have to keep the slide pushed all the way forward or it wont fire. So, if i move my hand to a different position or i wanted to fire with one hand the slide will move back a little. Its just a little annoying, not terrible just annoying. 2, the orange piece that goes from the grip to the mag well is a little uncomfortable for my middle finger. This isnt a problem depending on the way you hold the blaster. 3, the front picainny rail will not stay on. First i tried **** it in. The hole seemed a little small so i used a drill to get the **** through. No big deal. It was on and so i put my grip on, i bought the seperate one from the original blaster. It looked great. I tried priming it and the hole rail ripped off. The screws completely ripped the threads out. I tried loctite and made sure it was dry, it still ripped off. (Im going to try super glue tommorrow) Im currently using the blaster with no grip or rail. This is likely a defect.
Other than those things its great. I bought the refurbished B grade, the quality is perfect other than a few minor mess ups in the seams and a little imperfection in the logo. Easy 5-star if my rail worked easily. The darts it comes with seem to be more accurate than worker darts, though to of them broke in half after shooting a wall a few times. Lol
I bought my son a Refurbished/B Grade XYL Tactical Edition Unicorn. My son was stretching his funds to get into it and having that purchase option at a discount was a wonderful opportunity for a 12 year old boy obsessed with competitive dart blasters to get into a blaster that he might have had to wait a while longer to to get into. When it came in, both of us couldn’t figure out why it was discounted. It looked pristine and new. Unfortunately, the catch failed after only a couple of days but after an email to the shop asking if I could fix this myself, they sent me out another one before I even had a chance to pack up the other one along with a return label to ship the other one back. Out of Darts’ customer service is second to none and it is always a pleasure doing business with you folks. Thank you
I was expecting a sub-par experience after reading other reviews, but when i took my first shot, i knew they were wrong. THIS THING IS AWESOME. Feels amazing and im hitting 2in targets at 35ft with ease. Ultra smooth prime and 250fps out of the box with all metal internals. What more do you want at this price! Love it.
