Shipping speed, price and packaging were all good.
This BCAR shroud has your typical A-grade OOD print quality with a pretty cool look. The finish is pretty good and the fit is snug, which is a good thing.
It's design also has slits on both sides so you can see both the GFZ and OOD logos on the either sides of the BCAR, which I thought was a nice touch. The rest of the design also looks a little cooler in person too I.M.O.
The BCAR shroud stays on the BCAR well and doesn't effect how the BCAR itself stays on the barrel, which has pretty good retention in and of itself. It does add a little more weight to the end of your barrel if that matters to you, but the bulk of the weight comes from the BCAR itself just like other SCARs/SCAR variants.
I haven't extensively tested for durability but I have dropped it on accident a few times from desk height and it's held up fine. Plus if it were to break I'm confident that OOD would send a replacement as long as I can give a photo of the broken part.
One thing I do wish for these 2 shrouds - and all other OOD printed barrel related attachments in general - is to have other orange colored filaments available as options. As of right now OOD also offers Protopasta metallic tangerine and Protopasta citrus sunrise multicolor which I think are close enough to public safe orange and would look really cool on these shrouds and other barrel attachments. The standard Protopasta PLA orange isn't bad though, and it looks relatively close to the pictures as in real life.
Overall this is one of the best - if not THE BEST - shops to order this BCAR shroud from; would highly recommend if you are interested. And if you're still debating, keep in mind a broken shroud would be easier to replace than a broken BCAR.
