I absolutely love this thing!
I know it can jam sometimes, but even when it jams up I just enjoy playing with this thing! It shoots incredibly well, it's so much fun to prime the lever action! I just kept the 200 FPS spring in it because dang that satisfying! I find it incredibly accurate, and it's fun to shoot the thing like you're Sarah Connor from the hip! I have a homemade silencer that I put on the end of it so it's a little quieter, and I think if I wrapped the spring handle area and some foam and another section of it I could probably muffle it a lot more. There needs to be more quiet shooting Nerf guns because if you do cover this one up you can hear the darts whiz by instead of the sound of the gun firing.
The only concern I have is that it might be kicking off a weird sweet noxious plastic smell but I googled it and it said these are pretty safe... But it could also be the Green bamboo darts from another company in a separate order I got cuz those smelled real strong when I got them, but that was a month ago.. anyway something in my blaster lineup is smelling like plastic and the smell sticks in my nose for hours but it could just be another brain tumor. 🤷
Blade was orange rather than black as was pictured, but the blaster functions as expected. It does require a deliberate action when priming the heavier spring, but the blaster is unique and fun to use.
Love the overall design great lever action foam blaster. Only complaint is in the cycling, is just barely big enough so some of the darts get pinched when working the lever. But if you take it slow it will cycle fine.
Yup, you're buying a blaster-blade!
If you know what you're getting into, it's hard to be disappointed once you get used to the blaster and determine which of the 3 springs suits you best.
-Flip cocking is great, but requires some practice and extra oil depending on the spring.
- You want to use darts that still have their initial rigidity to avoid jams, with new darts being ideal.
-In general, this isn't a blaster meant for games where you're picking up used darts to fire back and more of something to play around or plink with, so remembering to use fresh darts isn't a big deal IMO.
- The ballistic knife is a a lot of fun and absolutely feels solid, with excellent fps for the small profile and ease of priming.
-Although it's not cheap and probably won't help you win the next HvZ game, it is a really cool blaster-blade!
First off, I got the clear version and instead of the advertised black blade it came with an orange blade instead. So that's a nice bit of deception to start with.
Second, the thing looks cool but in terms of functionality it's kinda ****. The short blade works but the long blade is floppy and bent out of the box. Less cool sword more stylized **** toy. The loading mechanism is neat but it's just not very functional. It jams and ends up folding darts in the mechanism a lot. The spring is easy to swap though, which is nice.
If this thing was 20;bucks I'd be happy. But for the 99 bucks I paid for it, it feels very lack luster.
